Alice Shane is the author of BAD DAD, a psychological crime novel, now available on Amazon. She is also a journalist, public relations consultant, editor and teacher.

Alice Shane's bylined articles on business, finance, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, travel and general interest topics have been appearing in the major media for over 25 years. She has been published in The New York Times, The New York Times Book Review; Forbes.com, The Philadelphia Inquirer Magazine, Crain’s New York Business, Travel Weekly, Working Mother, Bloomberg Magazine, Institutional Investor, The Journal of the National Cancer Institute, and many other periodicals.

Alice Shane has been an editor/​writer at Random House and co-editor of The Pill Guide (Berkley Books). She is a former TV Guide Magazine editor and has been an editor at Woman's World Magazine.

She has written extensively about global financial trends, hedge funds, personal finance, medical economics, healthcare and public policy, pharmaceuticals, executive and consumer travel.

Alice Shane writes and produces newsletters, press materials, website content, ghostwrites for corporate CEOs and physicians, and pens white papers on critical healthcare and legislative issues.

As head of a Massachusetts consultancy, Alice Shane Communications, she is a corporate communications and media consultant, providing services to leading corporations and non-profit organizations, including Booz-Allen & Hamilton, Prudential Insurance, ITT Hartford, Ortho Biotech, Blue Cross/​Blue Shield and The National Kidney Foundation. Alice Shane majored in creative writing at the University of Pennsylvania where she participates in the Alumni Mentors Program, Center for Programs in Contemporary Writing. She has taught business journalism at New York University and public relations at New School University. She has served on NYU's Advisory Panel in Graduate Public Relations Education.
